European Division

The ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest

The Contest is an annual event broken into two major phases. The first phase runs from late October through early December 1999 as teams from all over the world compete in Regional Programming Contests. There are some twenty regions throughout the world. The winners from each region advance to the Contest Finals, which will be held typically in spring. The 2000 Finals will be held on March 15-19 at the Radisson Twin Tower in Orlando, Florida (USA).

Note: Teams interested in participating must register with their Region four weeks prior to the contest date.

The European Division

The main purposes of the European Division are to provide a central point of reference for participants, to facilitate the communication between the five European Regions and to provide some divisional services such as this WWW-Page. We do not have a Divisional Contest, however.

Map of Europe

For the 1999-Y2K Contest, Europe has been split into six Regions. The European countries have been assigned to the Regions as follows:

Contestants have to participate in the contest of their assigned site. It is, however, exceptionaly possible to participate in an other than the assigned region. Details on this procedure can be found in the Regional Participant's Information.

To get further information about your Regional Contest, consult the appropriate Regional Web-Pages.

If you should have any questions about the European Regions, do not hesitate to ask them by dropping an e-mail. The Contest Directors will be glad to answer your questions!
